Frequently Asked Questions

General Questions

Answer:

Bee-Ads bid system is quite straightforward. It is based on pay-per-24 hours model. Advertiser will decide the amount he wants to pay for 24 hours campaign and he place the relevant bid for an ad-slot time. If he is alone he has a guarancy of all views/clicks from this ad-slot. If there is more bids for the same ad-slot, he receives the relevant portion of views and higher is his share, higher is the chance to get clicks as well. Advertiser can as well put highest bid to beat all competitors for an ad-slot (for example he receives 75% of time share) but he has funds only for limited time (3 hours lets say). Then during next 3 hours he receives 75% of views and after his funds diminish to zero, his bid is terminated. So advertisers can place "short-time aggressive bid". Publishers get funds from bids transferred continously to their balance.

Answer:

We provide wide range of statistic for every ad-slot or website. The reason is simple. Publishers are getting their income from Advertisers. Advertisers deserve tools to decide where to invest their funds to. So we provide it to them.
CPM stands for Cost-Per-Mile and it gives you an idea how much 1000 unique views of the particular ad-slot cost.
CPC stands for Cost-Per-Click - this gives you a average price for one unique ad click within the ad-slot
CTR stands for Click-Thru-Rate and it shows how big percentage of visitors clicks on ads (if the CTR is 3% then 3 out of 100 visitors clicked the ad).

Answer:

Unique view/click is term used in online advertising and it refers to the number of distinct individuals requesting pages/clicking the ad on the website during a given period, regardless of how often they visit. Our time period for unique access is 24 hours.

Advertisers

Answer:

Good news is that it is entirely up to you. You decide how much and where you want to bid. You can cancel your bid anytime if not happy with the outcome or increase it to get more share-time when you see it is working well.

Answer:

Placing a bid is very easy. Once you uploaded your ad creative (could be gif banner for example) and filled the ad setup details you just pick the ad-slot you want to advertise in and place a bid. For the amount to bid there is no easy answer - but always check CTR, CPM and CPC stats. Sometimes smaller and cheaper website will give you better value than large and popular website.

Answer:

First wait for some time (15 mins should be enough) because ads are added to circulation continously. Then check your budget, maybe it's too low. Also check if some other advertiser did not buy major part of time-share on same ad-slot. And don't forget to use third party analytics (Google Analytics makes a job really well and is free) to get better idea about who is clicking on your ads- check for referrers - should be the website you put a bid on or Bee-Ads. Publishers

Answer:

First you fill up the form for creating new ad-slot. Then copy created ad-tag and paste it to your website HTML code. Next continue with verification. After it it's up and running and ready for Advertisers to bid on it. Do not modify ad-tag in any way as it could stop working properly and you will lose potential earnings.

Answer:

You can create as many ad-slots as you wish. But remember that too many ads on one page WILL put your visitors off. So be careful. Better way is to find the best positioning (usually above the fold) and try different ad sizes. Feel free to test it.

Answer:

Well it depends on plenty of factors. Main ones are: amount of traffic, quality of content and positioning of ad-slots. Ads located on the bottom of webpage won't generate more clicks than ads on top of the page. You can always check current bids on your ad-slots and see how your balance increases.

Answer:

Maybe you should increase minimum bid for your ad-slots then. And if it's not the problem, then check if the traffic has a good portion of unique visitors as these are ones we are counting only. If you have healthy traffic, advertisers will find you!
